Description

The Confluences association, founded in 1975 by Jean Diard, was originally situated in Passage Lathuille in Paris’s 18th district and moved to its present site in Boulevard de Charonne in 1987. With an initial focus on aiding and housing young producers and visual artists, it extended its field of activity to accommodate theatrical, choreographic, and musical creations.

Today, it is a multi-purpose site, run by a new team since 2000. Confluences now also takes in photographers, theatre and dance companies, musicians. Apartments, educational projects, and creations that bring in inhabitants and sponsors from the neighbourhood are coming to life, as well as a new infrastructure including a rehearsal and recording studio, a multimedia cultural centre.
