What are Trans Artists aims?
Trans Artists encourages the exchange and distribution of information about artist in residence programmes and other opportunities for artists to work abroad. Trans Artists stimulates artists to create networks of their own, and to make the most of their stay in another country.
Furthermore, Trans Artists promotes international contacts and co-operation between artists, artist in residence centres, artists’ initiatives, cultural institutions and art councils.

Artists resident in the Netherlands who consider working abroad.
Artists from other countries who consider working temporarily in the Netherlands.
Artists-run initiatives and collectives, professional artists unions, cultural networks, cultural institutions and organizations.
What does Trans Artists do?
Providing information on
artist in residence programs
artist and guest-studios
workshops, symposia, festivals
financial resources, grants
international cultural networks
Making available practical data of the relevant organisations involved, including
aims and objectives
application conditions and deadlines
descriptions of locations and facilities
stipends and fees
Providing information for artists networks, artists initiatives and cultural institutions, that could be useful for
development of links and co-operative projects e.g. joint projects between guest studios and exchange projects
development of one-off projects for twinned cities
creating of international contacts to improve cultural networking
stimulating international policies in the cultural field
Trans Artists is also the Dutch co-ordinator of the Pépinières Program for Young Artists .
